How is a Breast Lift Performed?

Dr. Lawton will use one of several breast lift techniques depending on how much loose skin and sagging you have. The smallest incision is made around the edge of the areola and used to tighten the skin. Other incisions may run vertically under the breast or horizontally in the breast crease to remove more skin and relocate the areola. Dr. Lawton will position the breasts so they have forward projection and a full, rounded shape. The areolas are repositioned if needed to place them on the front of the breasts instead of pointing downward.

Without Implants

Some women still have a good amount of breast volume. However, that volume has drooped from its youthful, perky location. These women may benefit from a breast lift alone. With Implants (Breast Augmentation)

Many women lose breast volume and experience sagging skin at the same time. This can happen as a result of pregnancy, aging, or many other factors. If you have lost volume, you may benefit from breast augmentation to restore it. This procedure will use implants to give your breasts the desired size and shape. In many cases, you will not need any extra incisions to place the implants.
