Jan Maxson R.N. has been a registered nurse for over 30 years and an aesthetic nurse injector for nearly 19 years. She also has had the honor to be a speaker and trainer for Allergan for five years. It has been a privilege for Jan to have worked in several medical practices that achieved black diamond status and the distinguished top 50 Allergan products. Most important to Jan are the relationships she has built with her patients, many who follow her year after year. Jan’s art education background combined with her facial aesthetics medical training allows her to create beautifully balanced natural-looking outcomes for her patients.
Nurse Jan, as her patients love to call her, was accepted into and graduated from Long Beach City College’s notable nursing school. After, in 1982, she started her career at Long Beach Memorial Hospital as a medical, surgical floor nurse.
In 2003, Nurse Jan began exploring a career in aesthetic nursing, a new and upcoming field. Her interest took her to several top-level medical practices. Jan’s developing skills led her to being asked by Allergan to help train other doctors and nurses. Jan is committed to staying current with advancements in non-invasive procedures and medical-grade skincare.
Nurse Jan joined Dr. Lawton in July 2018 as the aesthetic nurse specialist. Jan is trained and certified in Botox, Dermal fillers, Peels, Medical skincare, Micro-needling, HydraFacial and many other anti-aging treatments. Nurse Jan’s years of injector experience, along with her large following of patients and superior patient care has added another strong layer to Dr. Lawton’s already impressive practice.
