Customized Skin Rejuvenation

Chemical peels are an excellent non-surgical solution for clients who want to transform their complexion into smooth, glowing skin. Dr. Tenley Lawton performs chemical peels at her plastic surgery practice in Newport Beach, CA.

What are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are best for patients who have moderate-to-severe aging symptoms, including wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and even facial scarring. There’s no surgery required; recovery usually takes a couple of weeks before results become visible. After a recommended course of chemical peels, clients can expect luminous and smooth skin, with minimal signs of aging. Chemical peels are also an excellent treatment option for patients who may have scarring from acne or trauma and are looking to quickly minimize those scars. For clients who are ready for gorgeous skin, a chemical peel can be the best non-surgical option.

We offer a range of chemical peels, including some of our most popular and effective:

  1. ZO Stimulator Peel
A mild yet effective peel that provides gentle exfoliation with no downtime—ideal for improving skin tone, texture, and clarity. The ZO Stimulator Peel is the perfect “lunchtime” peel. This peel contains three different acids to exfoliate skin and promote cell turnover. This peel works on all skin types. It is gentle on the skin, but strong enough to make a visible difference like brightening and refreshing the face for a youthful and dewy look. A series of peels are recommended for best results.
  2. ZO Skin Health 3-Step Peel
The Zo 3-Step Peel is a powerfully effective method of treating fine lines, sun damage, dull skin, Melasma, acne, and uneven texture concerns.  It is safe and effective for any type of skin and has been demonstrated to have some of the most effective and long-lasting results in the industry. ZO 3 – Step Peel is an innovative, in-office treatment peel followed by an at-home treatment to combat the signs of aging + skin discoloration. The treatments utilizes a blend of exfoliants, retinol and multi-action agents to help improve skin health and treat many signs of aging.

What is a Typical Treatment Like?

A chemical peel is comprised of different types of acids; this acid solution is used to effectively dissolve and slough off the top layers of the dermis. As we age, the topmost layers of the skin display lots of accumulated damage, like wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and scars. By dissolving the top layers, a chemical peel makes it possible for renewed skin to come to the surface. Dr. Lawton will help you determine which chemical peel solution is right for your specific needs, as not all chemical peels are alike.

Real Patients Real Stories

What Results Will I See?*

The end result of the chemical peel is that skin looks smoother, rejuvenated, and younger. Some patients may be satisfied with just one chemical peel treatment; patients with significant signs of aging may want to undergo more than one chemical peel session.

Chemical peels have been a reliable treatment for patients who want to get glowing, healthy-looking skin. Whether you want a chemical peel to reduce wrinkles or to minimize scarring, Dr. Lawton can help you select the best chemical peel solution for your desired results.

Is There Any Downtime?*

Patients should expect swelling, redness, and significant peeling for the first two weeks after the treatment. Some patients may prefer to take the first week off from work, as the redness and peeling can be very noticeable.
