What is SKINVIVE™ by Juvederm®?

SKINVIVE™ is the first injectable treatment to use microdroplets that integrate with the skin for a seamlessly smooth, natural look. Although it is a member of the Juvederm® family, you should consider it more of a cousin than a sibling.

How Does SKINVIVE™ Work?

Although SKINVIVE™ is technically a dermal filler, it does not work by adding volume. Instead, it works by improving your skin’s health and hydration. It uses hyaluronic acid, a complex molecule that attracts and holds onto moisture. As a result, it gives your skin a glowing radiance. The added moisture also makes the skin on your cheeks look smoother and softer. Hyaluronic acid is used in other Juvederm® products and other brands of dermal fillers, making it one of the most well-tested and widely used aesthetic injectables.

Am I a Good Candidate for SKINVIVE™?

Almost anyone can safely receive hyaluronic acid injectables. However, SKINVIVE™ is not right for everyone. It is intended for those who want to address cheek smoothness and add radiance. People with a loss of cheek volume or wanting to add definition may benefit from a different type of injectable. You should not have SKINVIVE™ if you have an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area.

Is There Any Downtime After SKINVIVE™?

SKINVIVE™ treatments only take about 15 minutes, and you can return to your usual activities immediately. You will not need any downtime or have to restrict your routine. You might notice minor bruising, redness, or swelling in the injection area that fades within a few days. The lack of downtime makes SKINVIVE™ ideal for busy people who need an option that does not derail their active day.

What Results Will I See With SKINVIVE™?

You may notice changes in the appearance of your cheeks immediately after treatment. Full results develop over a week or two as the hyaluronic acid pulls in moisture. You will notice that your skin begins to look more even and healthy with an internal glow. SKINVIVE™ lasts at least six months before starting to fade.
