Aveli™ Cellulite Treatment: How Does it Work?

Aveli Newport Beach, Orange County

While cellulite is extremely common, particularly for women, this harmless condition can have a significant impact on your confidence. If dimpled skin on your buttocks or thighs makes you want to cover up, Aveli™ cellulite treatment can help. This minimally invasive treatment addresses the underlying cause of cellulite to eliminate the problem from beneath the skin.

What Causes Cellulite?

The majority of women and many men are affected by cellulite. While some people think losing weight will get rid of these dimpled, uneven areas, even very fit people can experience this problem. Cellulite occurs when fibrous collagen bands called septae attach to your skin and hold it down, creating a dimple. These dimples cause fat to bulge up between them, adding an uneven appearance. For many people, this problem worsens with age as thinning skin makes the dimples more visible.

Aveli™ Cellulite Treatment: How Does it Work?

Aveli™ is a unique cellulite treatment that works by releasing the dimples from beneath the skin. A thin instrument with a light at the tip is inserted through a tiny incision and guided to the location of each dimple. The instrument is used to hook the septae and cut them with a small blade that does not touch the skin.

Your provider will make a second pass throughout the area with the instrument to check for any remaining bands. Each band is identified with the hook before cutting for precise, efficient treatment. Local anesthesia will keep you numbed during the process, which usually takes less than an hour

What Results Will I See With Aveli™?

Unlike treatments that tighten the skin, Aveli™ permanently releases the cause of your cellulite dimples. As a result, you will only need one treatment, and your results will last a lifetime. However, you will still experience age-related skin changes that may reveal other problem areas. The treated dimples will not return, leaving your skin smoother and more even.

Am I a Candidate for Aveli™ Cellulite Treatment?

Most healthy adults with bothersome cellulite are good candidates for Aveli™. This effective cellulite treatment is minimally invasive and FDA-cleared. Ideal candidates have cellulite mostly caused by dimples and not fat accumulations and have good skin elasticity. Your skin will bounce back from its dimpled position more quickly and completely if you have more youthful skin.
