We hear the term “boob job” a lot nowadays. Whether it’s out at brunch, on the t-ball field or in a mommy-and-me class, it seems we can’t venture far before hearing so-and-so had some work done…in the form of a boob job. What many people don’t realize, however, is that this term can have a few meanings.
Most people think a boob job only refers to breast implants. While that is one type of boob job, the term can also refer to a woman who has undergone a breast lift. Both procedures have wonderful advantages for women of all ages, but moms may have a few special needs after children that they may want to consider.
Breast augmentation involves either silicone or saline implants. These implants can add volume lost due to age, gravity, and breastfeeding. They’re great for moms who may feel a little “deflated” once their baby days are over.
Breast augmentation is also perfect for women who always wanted larger breasts, but opted to wait until they were past their pregnancy and breastfeeding days. Implants can absolutely increase the size of your chest, thereby increasing your confidence as a mom and beautiful woman as well!
Breast lifts, on the other hand, can restore you to your former glory. If you were happy with your natural breasts but found that children literally sucked the lift out of you, then a lift may be just what you need to get back to your best self. This kind of boob job doesn’t involve an implant of any kind. Rather, it simply “lifts” the skin, creating a tighter, firmer, perkier appearance.
A breast lift is still all you…just an uplifted version of what Mother Nature gave you! Many women are thrilled with these results, especially if they have experienced sagging breasts after having children. We often hear stories about new moms who loved their boobs but were heartbroken to see how the childbearing process wreaked havoc on their twins. A breast lift can snap that pair right back into shape!
