How Soon Is Too Soon?
Women should not start to consider a mommy makeover while they are pregnant or immediately after childbirth. You’re still going through hormonal changes both physically and mentally during this time. While most women are unhappy with their bodies directly after pregnancy, many of these problems are able to resolve themselves over time. Spend the weeks and months after childbirth relaxing, recovering, and getting to know your precious little one.
Transformation Takes Time
Every woman is unique. For some, it can take months for your abdominal skin and breast tissue to contract after having a baby. Breasts may be engorged for up to 6-months after you’ve finished breastfeeding (or 6-months after childbearing if you’re not nursing). You’ll need to allow time for your breasts to return to their normal size and shape and stop producing milk before considering a mommy makeover.
If you’re still unhappy with excess abdominal skin, love handles, or sagging breasts after 6-months, a mommy makeover can typically help. Women that are interested in vaginal rejuvenation after giving birth may need to wait upwards of 6-12 months. Conversely, your body may need more time to heal if you’ve had more than one child within a year of each other.
