Types of Facelifts
Facelifts are highly customizable based on your individual needs and goals. Among other things, the amount of recovery time you’ll need will depend on the type of facelift you choose. Dr. Lawton primarily performs three types of facelifts in her accredited facility in Orange County. Each of them has varying degrees of invasiveness and downtime.
Endoscopic Facelift
This is the ideal option for patients seeking a minimally-invasive way to correct problems on the mid-face including sagging cheeks and unwanted wrinkles. An endoscopic facelift has limited recovery time. The majority of swelling should subside within 2-weeks, however, many men and women feel comfortable returning to work in about 1-week.
Short-Scar Facelift
This unique procedure allows for more dramatic results and can tackle a variety of issues on the mid-to-lower face, and in some cases the neck. Dr. Lawton typically recommends planning 2-weeks for recovery with this method. Scars are easily concealable and fade with time.
Deep Plane Facelift
Deep plane facelifts are among the most commonly requested due to the dramatic, yet natural-looking results you’re able to achieve. From addressing deep-set wrinkles to excess skin to age-related volume loss, a deep plane facelift is the go-to treatment option. Patients should expect several weeks of downtime.
