How Long Do Avéli™ Cellulite Treatments Last?

If you feel isolated in dealing with your cellulite, you might feel a bit better to know that the vast majority of women and many men will experience some signs of dimpling or bumpiness in the buttocks and thighs. If these areas bother you but you have not found a successful treatment yet, Dr. Lawton and her team would like to introduce you to cellulite-erasing Avéli™.

What is Avéli™ Cellulite Treatment?

While many cellulite treatments work by temporarily tightening the skin for a smoother appearance, Avéli™ addresses the underlying cause. Cellulite dimples are caused by fibrous bands of collagen that create tethers between the skin and underlying structures. These pull the skin down and cause fat to push up between them. Avéli™ painlessly cuts these bands to release your skin with lasting results.

How Does Avéli™ Work?

During your Avéli™ treatment, your provider uses a small incision to insert the device. This long, thin tool has a light and a bladed hook on the end. Your provider can use the light to tell exactly where the device’s tip is under your skin and guide it to your problem bands. They will then use the hook to cut the band without harming the surrounding tissue. This innovative method offers the most precise, reliable cellulite removal results.

How Long Do Avéli™ Cellulite Treatments Last?

While skin-tightening treatments can last a few months, your Avéli™ results last much longer. The fibrous bands that have been cut will not grow back, so your dimples will not return. Your results may change over time if your weight changes or as your skin thins with age, making once-hidden dimples visible. However, you may be happy with your results for a lifetime.

Another advantage of Avéli™ is that achieving these long-lasting results usually takes a single session. The treatment takes place using local anesthesia, and you can drive yourself home afterward, making Avéli™ an efficient, time-saving option.

Is There Any Recovery Time With Avéli™?

Because it uses small incisions and works just under the skin, Avéli™ has minimal recovery time. The most common effects after treatment are a few days of swelling and soreness. Most people can return to work and most of their daily routine after about two days. Your provider will tell you when you can resume more strenuous exercise routines.

Am I a Good Candidate for Avéli™?

Minimally invasive Avéli™ is suitable for almost anyone who wants to address cellulite on the thighs and buttocks. It is FDA-cleared for safety and works on all skin types and tones. Since it uses only local anesthetic, it is a low-risk procedure that fits into busy schedules. Good candidates are healthy and have realistic expectations. Certain medical conditions may disqualify you from having Avéli™.
