Liposuction is usually an outpatient procedure, meaning that you can often return home on the same day. However, it can take some time for your body to recover.
During the first one to three days, you will experience some discomfort around the surgical site. You’ll need to treat this with pain-relieving medications.
From day three, the pain will fade, but you will need to keep physical movement to a minimum.
From around day eight, the soreness should subside and you may be able to remove bandages. You should also be able to return to work. Within 14 days, redness and bruising should fade.
